Tapered blade bits mainly include horseshoe chisel bit and oblique-chipway chisel bits and cross bits. Among these, the horseshoe chisel bits and the oblique-chipway chisel bits are mainly used for drilling small holes and short holes, and the cross bits are used for drilling long holes in hard and crack rock conditions. The tapered blade bits are mainly used in mining, quarrying, tunneling, bolting, etc.

Tapered blade bits include tapered chisel bits, tapered cross bits and tapered X-shaped bits. Tapered chisel bits include horseshoe chisel bit and oblique-chipway chisel bits.Tapered blade drill bits are produced by brazing carbide inserts to the bit bodies. During drilling operations, they are connected to the drill rods through tapers.
