The classification of drill bits

       Because directly drilling rock, drill bits are the most vulnerable drilling tools, and are manufactured by embedding cemented carbide on bit bodies. According to the shapes of cemented carbide, drill bits can be divided into the following categories:

1. insert bits, mainly including chisel bits, three-edged bits, cross type bits and X type bits.

2. button bits, including tapered button bits , threaded button bits, high and low pressure DTH bits.

3. compound drill bits with inserts and buttons, and roller bits
